Friends of Feminism – hosted by AWOL
Mon 6th July – ‘Friends of Feminism’ Next To Nowhere , Bold St, from 8.00pm
As part of AWOL’s series of feminist educationals, they are hosting a night specifically aimed at any feminist who has a partner or friend in their life who would like to know more about feminism and meet other feminists. We’re laying on some food and people are welcome to bring a bottle with them, and we’ll be having an informal chat about what it means to be a feminist, what the aims of feminism are, what feminists think about various issues, diversity within feminism and men and feminism. Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender.
AWOL (Angry Women of Liverpool) is a local group of feminists who meet on the first monday of every month at 8pm at the Liverpool Social Centre in Next to Nowhere, 96a Hope Street, Bold Street. They hold educationals on various topics to encourage group exploration of an issue related to feminism and gender politics. No prior knowledge or experience is required, and everyone is encouraged to participate and share their experience and thoughts.
